Performances

  • Performed at many literature and poetry festivals, including Swindon (1999, 2001-2003); Cheltenham (2000-2010); Ledbury (2000, 2002, 2008, 2010, 2011); Brighton (1999, 2000); Henley (2002); Glastonbury (2000), Wychwood (2009) .
  • Competed in many poetry slams; won: Chelt’n’Slam, May 2000; Taunton Slam, October 2000; Swindon Literature Festival Slam, May 2001; Ledbury Poetry Festival Slam, June 2001; Worcester City Slam, October 2001; Newbury Slam, October 2002; Solihull Slam, November 2002; Exeter Slam, March 2006; Sutton Coldfield, 2006; Birmingham, 2007; Cheltenham Science Festival Slam, 2009; Birmingham, 2009; Bilston, 2009; Wantage, 2011, 2012; Cirencester, 2012; Bristol Hammer & Tongue, 2012; Malvern, 2012; and in top three in many others.
  • Over 150 professional performances, all over the country.
  • Toured Texas, April 2002, performing in poetry festivals.
  • Performed for English and Danish football fans as international friendly football match poet, in London and Copenhagen, August 2005.
  • Poet in hospitals, Gloucestershire, October 2005 – working with stroke victims, and performing on wards with a saxophonist.
  • Short tour in the West Midlands with Ian McMillan, February 2007.
  • Qualified for and performed in semi-final of first Radio 4 national poetry slam, recorded July 2007; and semi-final of second Radio 4 national poetry slam, recorded September 2009.
