Poet; writer; project manager; performer; reader development worker; creative writing tutor; technical author and more. I seem to do something different every day, but it’s all to do with writing, reading or the spoken word.

  1. Hello, I have worked with Brenda about a diary and I was wondering if any development will be made or if the project isn’t funded anymore?
    Thanks

    • Hi – the diary is ready, but with the closure of Shrewsbury I had only a couple of copies made And you’re right – there is no more funding. Sorry!

      • Would I be able to find a copy of the book? Or will you publish it online in an ebook?

  2. Hi – if you write to me c/o WIPN, PO Box 71, Welshpool, SY21 0WB, I can arrange for you to have a copy.

    • No! I was just Read, but changed my name to Read-Brown when I married in 2000. Sorry!

  5. Hiya brenda how are you ? Good I hope. Not sure if you remember me “laurien arthur” I was an inmate @ h.m.p shrusbury, you were or maybe still am the creative writing tutor. I have fond memories and would just like to say thank you, you made my time a lot more easy and intresting and wanted to let you know that I still think of those times sooo thank you! Love and peace 🙂

    • Hi Laurien –
Yes, I remember you – a very good poet who was extremely self-critical! I was still writer in residence at HMP Shrewsbury until it closed in March this year; I really miss the work there. Thank you for your kind comments. It’s good to know that I could be of some help. I hope all is well with you.
      Best regards,
      Brenda
